After growing up in Dallas, Zach studied at Southwestern University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 2008. While at SU, Zach juggled academics and athletics competing on the Baseball team for four seasons. Along the way he took various architecture and design courses and architecture became his passion. After graduating, he interned for a prominent Dallas architect before deciding to attend the University of Houston School of Architecture. He graduated with a Master of Architecture in 2012.
Prior to joining SHM, Zach worked for several award-winning firms in the Houston area gaining experience in a variety of project types and sizes. Zach is a LEED GA accredited professional, a licensed architect in the state Texas, and a member of the AIA.
Zach and his wife Emily enjoy weekend walks and bike rides around White Rock Lake with their young daughter.
