Enrique Montenegro, AIA, NCARB is a founding Principal and Designer at Stocker Hoesterey Montenegro Architects.
During his time at Rice University School of Architecture and his 18 year career he has cultivated an appreciation for the simple, no-nonsense approach of vernacular architecture and a deep respect for context. This translates to a modern aesthetic that is warm and approachable.
Enrique continues to strive to find appropriate design solutions for each project location, whether rural or urban, Rocky Mountains or Main Street. He tries to find the distinctive traits of each site and program and create a singular response that gives each project a unique sense of place.
Outside of work, Enrique enjoys raising two young girls with his wife and tries to balance family life with community involvement.
