Enrique Montenegro is a founding Principal and Project Designer/Manager at Stocker Hoesterey Montenegro Architects. With over 13 years of experience in design, production, and project management of high-end residential and commercial projects, Enrique has a deep appreciation for the simple, no-nonsense approach of vernacular architecture and a healthy respect for context. Enrique earned his Bachelor of Art and Bachelor of Architecture from Rice University in Houston, Texas. While completing his Bachelor of Architecture degree at Rice, he spent a year working in the office of Lake Flato Architects. Enrique cites his experience at Lake Flato as a strong influence on his work and design approach.

Outside of work, Enrique enjoys raising two young girls with his wife and tries to balance family life with community involvement. He is an active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, having served on several boards and committees. He is a member of the Mount Saint Michael Catholic School Advisory Council.
