Jenna Janson, AIA, is originally from Northern Illinois where she developed the hopeless optimism of a Cubs fan and an affinity for beautiful buildings. She has been making her way south, stopping first in Saint Louis, MO, where she fell in love with toasted ravioli (not to mention her future husband) and dabbled in glass blowing while pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Washington University.
Next stop was Austin, TX, where she refined her appreciation for barbecue and boots while completing her Masters in Architecture with an Emphasis in Sustainable Design at the University of Texas. Then a slight detour took her north again to Boston, MA. There she indulged in wicked good lobster rolls and the ability to travel to multiple states in one day while obtaining her LEED™ Green Associate certification.
Finally, she landed back in Texas and enjoyed fried everything at the State Fair and Habitat for Humanity builds while acquiring her architecture license. She has settled into the burbs with her husband, Wes, and 80-pound lab, Keightley. Jenna recently completed the Emerging Leaders Program through AIA Dallas and led the SHM Team’s award-winning CANstruction debut.
