Keaton Cizek was born a Texan, raised a nomad. Change heightened his awareness of the built environment; he became a bit of a dreamer, as well as a serial furniture re-arranger. His first job was helping a contractor flip houses, and he studied drafting in high school. In 2016, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Architecture.
A semester at the OU Studio in Rome revealed to him some of the largeness of the world and much of his own relative smallness. He believes that we carry with us the places we have been, that places can become a part of us, and that being at home and being far away from home are equally important.
He enjoys photography, reading, and exploring, and he is always in search of inspiration. His love for timeless, thoughtful design drew him to SHM, and he joined the team in July 2016.
